Pads: What to Know

What makes Private Packs different?

Most cold/hot packs weren’t designed for your vulva—they were made for elbows, backs, or sprained ankles. Ours? Custom-fit for your anatomy. We’re the only therapy pack specifically shaped for down there. Soft, flexible, body-safe, and made to move with you.

When would I use it?

Swelling, soreness, stinging, post-wax, after sex, chronic pain, postpartum healing, infections, or just because. If it hurts, we’re here.

Why does it feel better so fast?

Temperature therapy works quickly to calm nerves and soothe inflammation. Warmth increases circulation and relaxes surface tension. Cold helps reduce swelling and gently numbs.

What’s it made of?

60% purified water, 25% glycerin, 5% sodium carboxymethylcellulose (that’s a food-safe thickener). The outside is soft-touch, body-safe PVC that meets California Prop 65 safety standards.

What are the dimensions?

2.5" (narrow end) x 11" (length) x 3" (wider end). Covers front to back. Want to size it at home? Take a sheet of 8.5"x11" paper and mark the measurements. That's your blueprint.

Sleeves: Do You Need Them?

Do I really need the sleeves?

Technically, no. But it’s kind of like skipping socks with shoes. Sleeves help keep your pack clean, comfortable, and in place. Plus, they boost the effectiveness of heat or cold.

What are the sleeves made of?

Soft, stretchy loungewear for your vulva: 95% rayon, 5% spandex. Breathable and cozy.

Why warm or moisten the sleeve?

Warmth = comfort. Moist heat = deeper comfort. Pop your sleeve in the dryer to heat it gently. Lightly mist with water before warming if you want moist heat therapy that penetrates deeper and helps with stubborn soreness.

Why chill the sleeve?

To supercharge cold therapy. Store it in the freezer for 15–30 minutes and slide it on to help calm irritation, swelling, and post-wax sting. Cold, but not cruel.

What colors do the sleeves come in?

White: Great for spotting discharge or symptoms you might want to track or share with your doc. Black: Stealth mode. Perfect for dark undies, swimwear, or just a mood.

Using Private Packs

How long should I use it?

The sweet spot is 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off. You can repeat as needed. If you’re unsure, check with a healthcare provider.

How long does it stay cold/hot?

Up to 20 minutes, depending on ambient temperature, layers, and your body.

How do I heat it?

Microwave it for 10-15 seconds (no sleeve). If you don’t have a microwave, submerge it in hot (not boiling) water.

How do I chill it?

Keep it in your freezer or fridge for 2-3 hours before use.

Can I sit or lie down with it?

Yes! Just avoid sharp objects or rough surfaces that might puncture the pad.

Can I use it during sex?

Before or after? Absolutely. During? Let’s just say we weren’t built for that kind of action.

Washing & Storinge

How do I clean the pad?

Wash with mild soap and lukewarm water. Towel or air-dry. Do not machine wash or microwave with the sleeve on.

How do I clean the sleeves?

Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Tumble dry low or air dry. Pre-soak in cold water if needed to avoid stains.

How should I store them?

Clean and dry. Store the gel pad in the fridge or freezer. Sleeves can live in your drawer, closet, or wherever your loungewear chills.

Safety & Ingredients

Is it non-toxic?

Yes, but it’s not snackable. If punctured or ingested, call your doctor or poison control just to be safe.

Any sketchy ingredients?

Nope. We avoid all the bad stuff: phthalates, parabens, synthetic fragrances, BPA, SLS, and anything on the Prop 65 list. If it doesn’t belong near your vulva, we leave it out.

Can the pad cause burns or frostbite?

Not if used properly. Always use a sleeve or soft barrier. Don’t overheat or overchill. And if your skin feels uncomfortable, stop.

Will the gel break down over time?

Eventually, yes. That’s normal. If the pad gets too soft or thin, it might be time to refresh your stash.

Why did you choose PVC? And what does Prop 65 have to do with it?

Our gel pads use soft-touch PVC that meets California’s Prop 65 safety standards. We chose this material because it’s flexible, durable, and body-safe when made to spec. Prop 65 requires warnings on products that contain chemicals known to cause harm. Our formulation complies—and we test every batch.

Are there any ingredients I should be worried about?

We don’t believe in cutting corners when it comes to your health. That’s why we avoid anything sketchy—especially near your intimate areas.

No phthalates, parabens, BPA, synthetic fragrances, formaldehyde, talc, PEGs, triclosan, SLS, coal tar, or ethanolamines (MEA, DEA, TEA). We also exclude anything flagged on California’s Prop 65 list.

Your vulva deserves better than vague labels.

Shipping & Returns

Manufacturing

Where are your products manufactured?

Private Packs are made in China.
We explored U.S. manufacturing early on—but quotes came in at $17.99+ per unit (and that was before the cost of raw materials surged). We chose a global partner that meets our safety and quality standards without cutting corners. It’s not about making it cheap. It’s about making it right.

Sizing + Specs

Is it one size fits all?

Yes, for now. After testing, we found our current size works best across most body types and allows the gel to flow effectively. Bigger would be bulky. Smaller wouldn’t cut it.

Can I cut or fold the pad?

Nope. That would compromise the design and might cause leaks. Use it as is.

Can I share it?

This one’s just for you. Sharing is caring, but not when it comes to intimate care.

Why is there only one size?

Right now, we offer one size only. Why? Because the gel needs space to circulate and maintain temperature—whether warm or chilled. After testing multiple dimensions, this was the smallest we could go while still making the pack effective.
Smaller wouldn’t work. Bigger isn’t necessary.
